Term life insurance
Earlier I was talking about life insurance quotes, and now I'm looking at term life insurance quote. Whereas regular life insurance spans until you die, term life insurance is only for a period of time. I don't understand what the situation would be with term life insurance. Does somebody want to explain that to me? I don't really 'get' it. Like, if you know you're going to die, you want to get term life insurance?

We bought term to cover us until our kid is grown, because after our term has finished our house will be paid off, and our kid will be in college (two of the main costs covered in our term insurance plan). I didn’t see a reason for having life insurance past the point where the kid moves out of the house
